How We Can Help

We help people whose family and dating relationships are affected by abuse and violence. Our educators provide presentations and training to help create a community that promotes happy, joyful relationships.

Are you or someone you know affected by abuse and violence?

If you’re scared, confused, or just have questions about what’s happening in your family or dating relationship, you can always call our hotline – 1-800-439-2323 – and talk with someone from Hope & Justice Project or you can meet in person at a safe, private Aroostook County location. Either way, you’ll receive support, information, and advocacy. All of our services are free and confidential.

If you are concerned for someone else, we are here for you too. We can help you identify ways to best support this individual or family.

The legal system can be overwhelming.

If you would like some help with a potential or existing court matter, the first step is to talk with a Hope & Justice Project court advocate. Once they have a better understanding of your situation, they can help you decide your next steps. An advocate may be able to help you file a complaint with the court (example: complaint about Protection from Abuse), go to the courthouse with you, or connect you with an attorney.

Social Service Advocacy

In Aroostook County, resources are limited. It can be challenging to know where to turn when times are tough. At Hope & Justice Project, we will work with you to explore options and resources available to you, like services for financial assistance, mental health, substance abuse, counseling, or anything else that you may need assistance with.
